Effective time management 'good for solid project management'

Businesses being bogged down by the pressures of poor time management will undoubtedly lose productivity, according to a performance expert.

Diane Costigan of the Complete Lawyer said the need for time tracking was imperative if a company is to move forward in one direction, highlighting the need for time tracking software or staff scheduling software to enhance the working environment.

She said: "When it comes to effective time management, you need to plan, plan and then plan some more."

Ms Costigan went on to compare the situation to that of a person buying their shopping without a list, stating that "you end up wasting time and money by buying things you do not need and forgetting things that you do".

Last week, Sanjiv Anand and Bhaskar Menon of Cedar Management Consulting told gulfnews.com that with restructuring on the cards for many businesses, effective time management is needed in the downturn as employees are required to learn new skills, change departments and take on more work.
