Businesses 'increasingly embracing hosted software'
Companies around the UK are increasingly embracing hosted applications such as customer relationship management (CRM) and other small management business software, a survey has claimed.
In research from Really Simple Systems, it was asserted through an interview process involving 678 companies and individuals that in most businesses employing 50 people or fewer, the concept of hosted software has been more welcome this year than previously found.
Chief executive officer at the organisation John Paterson noted that the affordability and pricing structure of such things as CRM was a great response to the current economy, which has changed the desires of employers to look for a more cost-effective strategy implementation.
"SaaS is being realised as a means of dramatically reducing IT overheads and removing the burden of system maintenance for small organisations who would rather allocate that resource to developing the business," he added.
CRM software is well-known to provide a great edge over rivals in an increasingly competitive marketplace, NewsFactor said this week, although only one-quarter of people use it to their advantage.
