Flexible working is a 'trend to watch'

A recent report by an international analyst firm has stated that flexible working is one of the biggest trends in employment to watch over the coming year, highlighting a possible need for timesheet management.

Research and Markets released its report to highlight the importance of flexible working in providing employees with a better work/life balance and improving staff retention by giving them more choice over their hours.

The company also stated that many of the major recommendations for flexible working came from government sources from a number of countries, highlighting the importance of the issue in the modern office, particularly in the current financial downturn.

Businesses hoping to adapt to what could be a new concept may want to invest in timesheet software to help them work out the balance that is most cost-effective without being to the detriment of their workforce.

Directgov, the government advice website, is currently going as far as helping employees prepare a case to convince their bosses to take up flexible working.
