Flexible working legislation 'will be welcomed by millions'

The head of a major organisation in employment has stated that the extension of flexible working legislation will be welcomed with open arms by a large amount of the UK workforce.

Chief executive of Work Wise UK Phil Flaxton said that such legislative measures came at the right time, with British businesses now better prepared with technology such as internet connections to be able to carry out the workload they are usually assigned in the office.

The use of other software such as timesheet and expense management could also enhance this situation for many employers aiming to save money in the current financial climate.

"We've now got the technology to work pretty much 24/7," stated Mr Flaxton.

He continued: "Whether you're working from home or whether you're working from a coffee shop or whether you're working from the train or a clients' office, or a remote office, is immaterial."
