In an interview with vnunet.com, Andrew Millard, the director of e-commerce at Citrix Online, said that there could be serious implications for IT managers who are unable to adapt to new demands from workers.
He said that despite many of them getting worried over the potential ramifications their new routine could have on the management of people, a simple look into a quick investment in resource scheduling or project management to ease their troubles.
Mr Millard added: "With technologies now in place to help companies mobilise a remote workforce quickly and easily, without the need for expensive on-premise infrastructure costs, this latest announcement gives businesses an opportunity to drive efficiencies into their operation, while increasing staff morale, retention and productivity levels."
Flexible working legislation came into force fully on April 6th, with parents who have children under the age of 16 being granted extra rights of employment.
