Current climate 'may necessitate outsourcing of software'

The outsourcing of technology which is usually held in-house, such as time tracking software, is a solid step for business, according to an expert.

Businesses are increasingly looking to hold back on costs and automate any basic protocols and are looking to the services which can be offered by online providers as it can help a business focus on the other legacies of the modern financial downturn, according to the Sunday Business Post.

The newspaper noted that the most important thing to do is assess the solution correctly from the outset and continue to invest in it over time, avoiding any major issues which may arise after buying small business management software in the long-run.

It issued a stark warning on such an implementation, adding: "The companies that see it as an ad hoc cost, as a last-minute thing to invest in after they have their building and office furniture, will be suffering now."

The University of Tennessee Medical Center recently announced its embrace with outsourced IT governance, attributing the move to a saving of over 60 per cent of its IT costs.
