Britain' lags behind Europe' on flexitime implementation
Compared to their European neighbours, British employers are lagging behind when it comes to the availability of flexible working hours, a recent survey has revealed.
Job advertising website Monster interviewed 1,078 employees around the nation to find that over half of respondents stated their business had no flexible working policy in place.
The situation highlights the benefits of timesheet software, which could aid an employer in setting out a clear schedule to allow staff to do their job from home or at a different time to their colleagues, depending on their personal needs and commitments.
Only 22 per cent of those replying to the survey agreed their employer was doing a good job when it came to such working agreements, with only three per cent believing their mosses may make it available very soon.
However, Andrew Millard of Citrix Online recently told vnunet.com that many IT managers are worried by the prospect of flexitime on their systems, though it may be easily solved by better resource scheduling.
