SaaS decision 'must be a comfortable one'
Selecting software-as-a-service (SaaS) should not be a choice done blindly, with a technology blogger asserting that plenty of research should be done before adopting the correct system.
Writing for InfoWorld, Ephraim Schwartz stated that a poor choice of small business management software such as time tracking could become problematic, particularly given that sensitive data will be stored off-site.
Alex Adamopoulos, an outsourcing expert speaking to the publication, explained that a loss of revenue could be very real if a company and its software provider did not work together to create a system tailored to existing technology already in place.
Mr Schwartz also asserted that people should not simply rely on word-of-mouth when it comes to selecting the right system for something like small business management software, as all businesses have different requirements and, as a result, many need separate systems.
According to a recent study by Gartner, the popularity of outsourcing has not dropped, though smaller enterprises are keeping the figures high as they snap up opportunities offered by companies as bigger companies fall back and take stock of their incomes.
