CRM is 'recession beater'
Customer relationship management (CRM) is a great way to beat the recession for small and large businesses alike, according to a leading technology expert.
Professional services manager at DMC Software Solutions Neil Slater emphasised the role which such small business software can play in the current economic climate, noting how it is able to provide a company with quicker response times in the face of more particular demands from clients.
He said that CRM is essential as it allows an organisation to target their key demographics with relevant services and products, in turn increasing the likelihood that a company will weather the economic storm.
In regard to existing clients, Mr Slater added: "We are currently in the thick of a recession and the best way for companies to keep afloat and reduce expenditure is to focus efforts on retaining business and not acquiring it."
James Wong of PC World said that despite all of its strengths, CRM must be promoted as a good thing for employees and not the employer as many may see it as a tool to benefit the income of a business alone.
