Outsourcing 'increasingly demanded by current market'

The current economic climate is increasingly demanding the outsourcing of technology including resource planning, time billing and scheduling software, an expert has explained.

Ewan Macauley, the global director of technology services at the IQ Business Group, stated that regardless of financial worries surrounding the credit crunch, a number of companies are taking a monetary plunge to ensure they get the most out of their technology and make money back in the long-run, TMCnet reported.

The expert commented that while the trend had been to choose the lowest price available, "savvy IT executives are now looking beyond the initial job quote to assure that cultural factors are considered in their true return-upon-investment".

Small business management software via outsourcing represents one of the more technologically-advanced styles of IT in the workplace, he added, with many companies willing to use them if they are to match the customer's wishes.

Ross Taylor of DirectResponse sang the praises of outsourcing this week, stating that it is a great way to cut down on overheads.
