CRM provider search launched by Football League

Customer relationship management (CRM) providers are being sought after by the Football League in order to enhance its connections to those who matter, it has been revealed.

Consumer issues and problems as well as ticketing will be targeted by the upcoming deals, which it hopes will establish the organisation as one in touch with its followers and teams.

Football League marketing manager David Malkinson, who announced the project last year, explained: "Both clubs and approved suppliers benefited from last season's assessment and we wish to invite more organisations to tender an application."

As part of the new initiative, three experts in small business management software were appointed to establish the early stages of the plan, to review prospective vendors in a non-invasive process which will not cost any of them money to sign up to.

All 72 teams in the Championship, League One and League Two are represented by the organisation, which split from the Premier League in 1992.
