Current climate 'weathered' by SaaS
Software-as-a-service (SaaS) needs to be adopted by the industry if it is going to get the best returns on investment during the recession, an analyst has highlighted.
Representing corporate learning analyst firm Elearnity, David Wilson, a prominent speaker, said that through such technology as timesheet and resource scheduling software, high performers at an organisation can stay connected and engaged with their current company.
Mr Wilson explained that SaaS is able to help with cost/time savings, flexibility and scalability in the workplace while delivering this much-touted value to business, particularly through its natural ability to accelerate technological standards at the organisation which uses such software.
"SaaS is having a significant impact on the learning and talent systems market, both for enterprise customers as well as the mid-tier market," Mr Wilson added.
Such business management software was also applauded by Roger Strain, an IT expert writing for Bizcommunity, noting SaaS for its ability to cut down on large capital investments in hardware and software.
