Resource scheduling 'must be prioritised' despite recession
Technologically-speaking, many businesses are not doing the right thing and prioritising the technology they need to succeed, an expert has stated.
Editor of technology at IT PRO Ben Har-Even said that as companies are not using small business management software such as resource planning, they could be unknowingly damaging their reputation or income.
He explained that many organisations in the recession are too focused on making short-term gains - something which could be particularly damaging.
Mr Har-Even added that this approach will only prolong financial issues and make the company less distinguished from its other competitors.
"Company decision makers need to be braver right now to try and see the bigger picture in order to make the right choices for their business," he added.
Bo Lykkegaard, a research director at IDC, said this month that he believes organisations will invest in more virtualised software as a way to cut down on costs.
