Business management software 'needed for strength in current market'

As trends are changing so much in the modern marketplace, firms selling to consumers in the UK need to look to business management software to enhance their sales technique, it is said.

Richard Dodds, the head of media campaigns at the British Retail Consortium, illustrated how there may need for customer relationship management (CRM) in the workplace as a means of keeping up with the current desire of consumers to get the best deals.

A lot of this is to do with the recession and how it has influenced a number of people in their tastes on the high street and online.

"For customers they're above all else looking for value, which is partly about the lowest possible prices but it's also about quality because value is a combination of price and quality," Mr Dodds said, emphasising the role of CRM in the office.

uSwitch.com also found this to be the case in a recent poll, with the organisation finding that around three-quarters of people in the UK are willing to argue for a better deal on an investment in consumer goods.
