Outsourcing 'must be used' despite economic climate
The use of business management software systems will help companies stay competitive in the current economic conditions and by not making the investment, businesses may not recover, it is said.
Worldwide research company Gartner explained that delays in the implementation of systems such as customer relationship management (CRM) could see a firm postponing the beneficial effects it would create, resulting in competitiveness being compromised when the upturn arrives after the recession.
"Many organisations have large investments in call centres, websites, marketing systems and sales force automation," Gartner said.
It added: "With these pieces in place, companies can wrap effective strategies around these tools and generate real success from a customer standpoint."
Facebook and Twitter are also a viable addition to any CRM strategy, the company emphasised.
Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Gartner employs over 4,000 associates including 1,200 research analysts over 80 countries, making it the leading provider of technology-related studies in the world.
