Outsourced software is 'great for saving money'

Business management software which is outsourced, such as online timesheet facilities, will undoubtedly save money for a company, it is asserted.

Managing director of Small Business Evolution Michelle Carr said her firm clearly sees outsourcing adoption growing in the coming months following a strong performance in the last year.

She explained that many companies need drastic cost-cutting solutions, such as losing staff, with the expert noting that companies can immediately cut administrative staff due to the money saved by the computing investment.

"As such, for the three roles that they have outsourced, they are now paying less than the equivalent of one full-time wage per annum for a whole team of people who are handling their bookkeeping, phone calls, recruitment, IT and marketing," Ms Carr added.

Yesterday, Andy Cocks emphasised the need for a dedicated manager to run outsourced software to ensure that it was used properly by all employees.

The employment of a dedicated "owner" of such systems is highly recommended, according to expert Andy Cocks, who told ZDNet Asia that a firm using SaaS can make sure their project is properly implemented and used.
