Future of business 'in social applications'

Customer relationship management (CRM) and other strategies using business management software are good for a company's prolonged health, it is said.

Making his comments to SearchCRM.com, Denis Pombriant emphasised that cloud computing is becoming a familiar concept with more people.

He notes that CRM is a particularly great investment in this sense as a company is able to improve its technological assets while vastly improving their interaction with consumers.

Mr Pombriant added that this strategy is also able to play to the wants and needs of clients too.

The expert continued: "Vendors want to be where their customers are, and customers are giving an unmistakable signal that they like social applications and they like accessing whatever they want, whenever they want it, on the web."

"Smart vendors have already figured this out; hence the rush to the internet by CRM."

Through delaying an implementation of such business management software, Gartner warned this week that it was possible such companies could be left behind by more forward-thinking competitors.
