Businesses become 'technologically enabled' through outsourcing
Companies using outsourced software services are much more likely to have a much more flexible approach to working than those using predominantly in-house services, it is believed.
Marketing director for Oasis Mark Orsborn told MyCustomer.com that his company's use of business management software has allowed it to identify the key areas where returns can be made.
He said how the new systems are able to provide "technological enablement" to Oasis, while some of his offices still operate on-premise systems and desktop support as a way of having a backup.
"I can put together pitches for the chief financial officer and the chief executive officer and they will invest in areas where they can see the business driving forward," Mr Orsborn continued.
"If you're going to invest, it's right to ask what you get back in return."
These comments were echoed by Gary Swart, the chief executive officer of oDesk, who told SearchCIO.com last week that much-improved systems are available to businesses wanting more software flexibility.
