Outsourcing in Australia 'also growing'
Australia's outsourcing market continues to grow in the current climate, mimicking trends found in Europe and North America, it has been revealed.
ARN revealed the most recent results from a report carried out by IDC, which discovered that while the outsourcing market is currently worth $6.4 billion (£3.17 billion), it is expected to rise to $8 billion by the close of 2013.
This means that the industry for time billing software, project management and resource scheduling will continue to expand by around four per cent each year for the next five years, IDC asserted.
However, IDC senior IT market analyst Marina Beale was quick to point out how the trend differs in Asia-Pacific countries, where many are withdrawing their support from technology which may help them cut costs in both the long and short-term.
Commenting on this year's growth, Ms Beale continued: "We are still seeing revenues flow in from outsourcing contracts that have already been signed and we also expect to see new deals coming up towards the end of the year."
The Mobile Marketing Association's Paul Berney recently revealed that demand for marketing software in the recession is based on the desire of consumers to have consistent and quick interaction with a company, meaning new systems are needed.
