CIOs 'need to battle' for future technology
Chief information officers (CIOs) need to fight their ground for greater amounts of investment in technological enhancements such as project management if they are to be successful, a new survey stated.
Harvey Nash, a leading recruitment company, led research which found that only six per cent of CIOs said changes had been made to their technological direction as a result of the recession despite its wide-reaching ramifications, Computing revealed.
If a CIO makes sure their strategy is transparent and understandable at board level, they will likely have success in using their new system as all levels will be able to contribute and get the most out of the system, the company added.
Outsourced software, while it may intimidate many, is also a great way to enhance a company brand, particularly through a stronger online presence for the customer.
Harvey Nash specialises in providing the IT industry with highly-skilled staff to fill levels from IT support to management roles.
