Project management software a 'great way to slash bills'

Many companies are investing in portfolio and project management software in the recession and are cutting bills by large amounts as a result, according to a special report.

ChannelWeb explained that "in these days of tight budgets and increased need to control IT spending", many companies are finding that hosted business management software can give them the edge they need to compete at a much lower cost and with increased functionality.

With many being offered on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) monthly subscription basis too, the resource highlighted that it was getting much easier to scale the exact needs of a company, whether it was small or large.

Furthermore, ChannelWeb highlighted how the SaaS method of delivery is great at delivering the likes of customer relationship management, in turn pushing the boundaries of other programs being delivered through this method.

Last week it was revealed that Unicef had adopted customer relationship management as a means of keeping in touch with donors, Computing reported.
