NHS trust signs up to business management software

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has announced that it has entered a partnership with a business management software provider to enhance its systems.

Through the use of such a strategy, it is hoped the hospital service will have a greater amount of autonomy in its approach to patient care as well as a larger range of services available at a better price point.

Bill Fisher, the IT director of the NHS foundation trust, said: "Our aim is to provide state-of-the-art care and medical assistance to our patients, which would be impossible without the right IT tools and skills."

He added that once it is deployed, the technology will allow the trust to raise employee efficiency as well as the standard of patient care to "even greater heights".

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is responsible for the healthcare of over 800,000 people and provides a full range of acute clinical services.
