Swedish police start using CRM

Police in Sweden have been hooked up with a mobile phone system capable of delivering customer relationship management (CRM) to their positions, in turn helping them work more effectively on the street.

SecurityPark.net revealed that essential information can now be transferred from the central server to mobile devices, meaning there does not have to be a number of return journeys to the police station to gather extra details regarding a case.

The business management software in use is highly protected without compromising the delivery methods or safety of the information, with over 10,000 police officers scheduled to use it.

An option has also been provided which will allow the expansion of the service should more officers need the technology, highlighting the scalability and flexibility of such programs.

This week, Jason Nash of Microsoft told Marketing Donut that CRM is "just the ticket" during the recession as it allows businesses to see the most profitable groups and pitch their sales techniques to these demographics.
