Business management software 'builds reliability'

Utilising business management software can help firms build predictable reliability into their systems and optimise IT processes, it is stated.

TechNewsWorld highlights that business transaction management (BTM) has been getting particular attention recently, as it promises to manage IT from a business perspective and make sense of complex application.

BTM should be able to collect transactional data at the operating system level and stitch it together so it can be monitored and managed, the news provider explains.

"Business transaction management will not replace traditional monitoring and performance tools that may be in place but it will complement them and drive value by better pinpointing where they should be applied," it adds.

This week, the CDW IT Monitor report predicted that investment in IT products such as business management software will grow as confidence returns to global markets.

Companies have been managing costs as well as they can during the recession, but there comes a time when investments have to be made, CDW's executive for market insights Mark Gambill said.
