Cloud computing can 'do whatever you want'
Cloud computing can help provide businesses with more reliable and cost-effective services, according to Carrenza's Dan Sutherland.
In an article for Management Today, the chief executive of the IT group explained that cloud computing is generally aligned to meet specific business needs, such as online project management.
Mr Sutherland added that clouds are capable of this because resources are being used more efficiently, which reduces the need to compromise over budgets and thresholds.
He added that a good cloud computing provider should be able to match its service "very closely to your needs".
The comments follow claims from chief operating officer at ThinkGrid David Pratt, who indicated that cloud computing could be paired with smartphones by some companies, which "opens up the collaboration side of things".
Meanwhile, Mr Sutherland noted that cloud computing can also boost a businesses green agenda, both in terms of corporate social responsibility and energy bills.
