IT outsourcing will help companies 'escape the recession'

Businesses which choose not to adopt outsourced small business management software may not be helping themselves in the current climate, it is believed.

What PC? explained that only the world of IT knew anything about the industry, yet now outsourced materials are becoming more important to a number of industries.

It explained that organisations are attracted by the better quality of software available, not to mention the access to critical skills and experience which can help them implement best practice.

Tom Lesica, chief executive of global shared services at Wolters Kluwer, told the publication: "As multi-media content and a wide variety of information delivery platforms become widely available, publishing companies will need to transform existing and new content to take advantage of this new technology."

Last week, Gartner revealed that over half of companies using software-as-a-service intend to maintain their spending through to 2011 after good experience with the systems provided.
