SaaS is adopted 'for good reason'

An email security provider has highlighted a number of reasons as to why the uptake of such things as timesheet software and project management software has been so popular.

Around 68 per cent of online users are engaged with some form of software-as-a-service, according to research conducted by SpamTitan, explaining that most are attracted by flexibility, convenience and ease of deployment.

Ronan Kavanagh, the chief executive officer for SpamTitan, explained that if the subscription does not work, people will simply cancel their service, meaning that both firms and customers are pushing up the quality of products they purvey and use through such a mutual understanding.

He continued: "Our research shows that this is a win-win scenario for all in that service providers will be able to offer their customers and prospects more and customers will reap the benefits of higher performance and customer satisfaction."

Mr Kavanagh's viewpoint follows one presented by Keith Fenner, the sales director of Softline Accpac in South Africa, who told IT Web that hosted business management software is able to deliver unrivalled flexibility.
