Flexible working benefits highlighted at upcoming event

Businesses may consider an investment in time billing software or online timesheets, given the benefits of flexible working which are to be highlighted at an upcoming event.

Head of Space Solutions' work performance team Mark Breingan will be joined by Mark Baker, Worksmart Manager with Aberdeenshire Council, to emphasise the role which flexible working can play in the working environment.

Although the change in shifts can be a daunting task for a number of organisations, through the use of software it could be easily facilitated to deliver a number of benefits, including a more spacious and motivational office space and home freedoms for those with family commitments.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Ian Armstrong, the north-east manager of Scottish Council for Development and Industry - who is organising the get-together - said: "For companies in these competitive and financially constrained times, it makes sense to look at all the possible and available options.

"This will be an enlightening and thought-provoking event irrespective of your personal role within your organisation."

However, those using time billing spreadsheets to save money and over-bureaucracy ought to be very careful, according to Atlantic Global's finance director Rupert Hutton, highlighting how one business lost millions of dollars due to a simple error on data entry.
