Tough times need 'bright measures' in IT
Tough and challenging times are facing a number of businesses in the current economic climate, if not most, so it stands to reason that such organisations respond in kind with clever IT measures, it is said.
According to CIO Today, one of the best ways to maintain consumer interest during the downturn is through customer relationship management (CRM), a system which can organise clients to ensure consistency in purchases or monthly payments.
If it is adopted well enough, an organisation will also be able to minimise its costs of attracting and keeping customers and, in turn, maximise the profits gained from the very people which cost the company less to oversee through business management software.
Brad Wilson, the general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, explained: "You have to be proactive and structured about how you engage with your customers.
"The pools of people considering purchases are dwindling, so you have to make smart decisions about how you connect with them."
Earlier this month, Guide Dogs announced that its CRM system simplifies a lot of tasks with donors to allow money to go to the best causes possible.
