Businesses must 'not fall into old traps' on upturn

Businesses need to do the best job of controlling costs in their workplace in light of the last twelve months, according to a leading expert in technology.

Rupert Hutton, the finance director of Atlantic Global, highlighted how a recent survey found renewed optimism in key markets among fund managers across the world, though emphasised that historic bad habits could repeat themselves in the long run should attitudes and practices not change.

Asserting the role of such things as project management software and online timesheets, Mr Hutton explained: "In the last few months we have all learned the importance knowing where your costs are incurred and eliminating any waste.

"It is really important that businesses don't fall into the trap of losing their grip on operational expenditure in the good times and the bad."

Atlantic Global was established in 1993 and constantly develops and delivers cost-effective software to manage projects and human resources in organisation around the world, with current partners including Aviva and Pfizer.
