Consumer confidence rises, highlights improving sales

Consumer confidence has risen this month, showing the opportunities available to companies which may want to use business management software to seize upon improvements to customer self-assurance.

According to the latest Nationwide Consumer Confidence Index, the arbitrary scale of coolness in the market rose by two points to 63, marking the first movement of its kind since April.

The organisation insisted that such positivity may not only relate to people's views on the future but also of their present situation.

Chief economist with Nationwide Martin Gabhauer noted: "The rise in positive sentiment across all the indices is no surprise as a number of key economic indicators continue to show that we may have reached the bottom of the current recessionary cycle."

Last month, Nationwide reported that house prices had registered a rise of 1.6 per cent, supporting many who are using the property sector as an indicator of economic recovery and improved high street spending.
