SaaS is being examined as 'eco-friendly'
A number of businesses may be examining software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings such as project management software as a means of driving an ecological approach to technology, it has been highlighted.
The most recent release by Research and Markets noted that a number of channel partners are re-examining their business models due to the move by SaaS to become a much more "mainstream phenomenon".
It continued: "However, they might not be changing fast enough: there is a shift in the nature of the channel itself, as emerging SaaS providers establish new and unusual channel relationships to reach their target markets."
It was found that a number of trades, including government agencies, financial service providers, industry associations and "big box" retail services are looking to the ecosystem benefits that can be brought by choosing to host their resource scheduling software and other such technologies.
Research and Markets is the world's largest market research resource, with 719,645 reports and counting available to investors.
