Business management software 'shifting to the people'
A technology expert has picked up on a startling trend which highlights the shift in emphasis from one direction to another, placing the focus solely on individual consumers.
Phil Wainewright of ZDNet explained that he has heard a number of stories about the popularity of business management software and other forms of software-as-a-service and why they are being adopted.
He noticed that while technology has long been about the elimination of human elements in favour of service automation in a bid to avoid human error, the "dispassionate analysis of transactions and outcomes" to allow for managerial objective decisions has been largely discarded.
Mr Wainewright continued: "Now the pendulum is starting to swing back towards acknowledging the qualitative role that human beings play in processes and operations. The technology is no longer trying to keep them out of the equation."
Earlier this month, Vanguard's Graham Mansfield explained that customer relationship management is becoming a popular system to adopt as loyalty plays a hugely critical role in almost every customer interaction.
