Outsourcing 'must prioritise the end user'
Business management software must look at the immediate issues it creates for its users, it is believed.
Nick Holley, a representative of Henley Business School, told the Daily Telegraph that outsourcing the likes of project management software can allow a business to grow and benefit, though implementation must be carried out properly.
He explained that such a strategy must first and foremost consider the impact it will have on the end user.
"While it might save central costs it's important to ask whether it's adding hidden local costs such as line managers spending more time on administration and are hence diverted from serving customers and motivating people," Mr Holley asserted.
Furthermore, the quality of the data provided to the hosted services partner must be in top condition as it must be "robust" and "up to date" to be truly effective.
Mr Holley concluded that the outsourcer should be able to demonstrate the value of the business management software they are offering the buyer.
Many businesses are opting for such systems due to their eco credentials, a recent release by Research and Markets has detailed.
