Cloud Computing World Forum to highlight benefits of hosted software

Business management software and all of its benefits are to be presented at an upcoming show in London this October.

The Cloud Computing World Forum has been established to raise awareness for the likes of project management software in the workplace and is scheduled to take place event on October 22nd at 76 Portland Place in the capital.

Among others, Mike Spink, a research director for Gartner, will be attending to highlight the capabilities such systems can bestow on small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

He said: "The promise of cloud computing creates a tremendous opportunity for SMBs to revisit their IT strategy and critical planning assumptions.

"As the market evolves and matures, cloud computing will become a viable and cost-effective alternative to on-premises IT for an increasing percentage of requirements."

Gartner revealed to InternetNews.com earlier this month that many businesses are seeing the cloud computing world as one safe enough to entrust their data security to.
