IT infrastructure 'must be in good shape'
Organisations across the world must consider the drawbacks of not having a solid IT framework in place in the office as such technology can optimise the potential of new business ventures, one expert believes.
Enterprise products and solutions specialist at Fujitsu Chris Bone explained that an IT infrastructure is extremely important to a business now - so much so that it can be prioritised above all else.
He asserted: "When you go into a new market or are exploiting a new opportunity, the first thing companies tend to think about is 'what is the IT infrastructure I need to support this?', because it's become the fundamental element of business success."
Mr Bone explained that bottom line impact is top priority - something which has been associated with business management software should a company want to improve their takings.
In a survey last week by Fujitsu, it was found that from the 200 top IT professionals surveyed, 61 per cent feel that their IT infrastructure will have to be more flexible to cope with present economic conditions.
