Mobile CRM needed to 'boost productivity'

Organisations looking to capitalise on sales should consider adopting practices such as mobile customer relationship management (CRM), according to a new report.

Alex Kayle of ITWeb explained that the tough economic climate forces organisations to get the most out of existing systems or exchange them for cheaper ones, which is why many people look to CRM as a solution to a number of issues.

Speaking to Max Carter, the marketing manager for South Africa's Maximiser Software, it was found that mobile CRM in particular was becoming more popular.

Mr Carter continued: "In tough economic times, people are looking to do more with less, looking for better services, improved business results, increased productivity, to close more sales deals and retain existing customers."

This week, David Taber of CIO revealed that the main mistake CRM users make is demanding as many leads as possible, only to drop up to 70 per cent before doing anything with them.
