Cloud computing 'must have protocols' to convey true potential
In order for people to get the most out of such programs as resource planning software when in an online environment, guidelines and protocols must be established, a leading company has asserted.
To underline the importance of the small business management software environment, Microsoft released a white paper in conjunction with the International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy in Madrid.
The firm justified that by taking this approach, companies will be likely to trust the platform in the way it deserved, thus unlocking the potential of the hosted software method even more.
Microsoft continued: "Cloud computing does raise a number of important policy questions concerning how people, organisations and governments handle information and interactions in this environment.
"Privacy protections are essential to building the customer trust needed for cloud computing and the internet to reach their full potential."
This week, it was announced that the first sales of Windows 7 suggest that shoppers are switching to its new operating system in large numbers, suggesting it is much better than its ill-fated predecessor Vista.
