Hundreds of companies 'abandoning legacy software'
There is a major business trend in how organisations are increasingly changing their approach to their sales process, with one firm announcing that hundreds of companies are switching from providers of legacy software to other solutions.
InsideView, looking at its own sales data, concluded there to be a huge shift towards small business management software dealt through cloud computing means.
The company identified there to be additional customer engagement opportunities in the current market, adding that there is broader customer relationship management (CRM) adoption across numerous firms' sales teams.
Greg Brush, the vice-president of sales at InsideView, said: "The increasing number of competitive replacements we are experiencing over legacy sales data providers is a testament to the quality, relevance and usability of our award-winning sales intelligence solution."
Earlier this week, Christopher J Bucholtz of CRM Buyer noted that the use of social media such as Facebook in conjunction with CRM can help a firm create an intimate sales environment, connecting with consumers on a basis which larger companies may struggle to do.
