CRM highlighted as key trend
The importance of customer relationship management (CRM) in the workplace has been highlighted by a recent poll looking into the marketing world.
Daryl Willcox Publishing focused on how many organisations are becoming increasingly willing to invest in their digital operations in order to reap the benefits of an enlarged customer base.
It was discovered that the personal relationship side of marketing is the most popular trend, with a number of companies buying into the likes of Facebook, Twitter and blogging.
Highlighting the role that business management software such as CRM is playing, Daryl Willcox, the founder of the company who carried out the research, said: "Companies realise the importance of being visible online and are recognising the benefits of having an up-to-date digital presence.
"Many are embracing social media and combining this with more traditional marketing methods."
It follows a report from the Chartered Institute of Marketing that the total average marketing spend on CRM is around ten per cent, second only to public relations.
