SaaS provides 'more collaborative' way of working
Organisations who embrace software-as-a-service (SaaS) will improve the resiliency of their business while also creating a more open environment for employees, it has been said.
Cloud computing providers usually offer support 24/7 while also delivering increased resiliency and redundancy, backed by multiple data centres to ensure information is always available, according to Robert Whiteside of Google Enterprise, speaking to Bytestart.
"Using cloud computing applications, people can work more closely together, accessing and working in the same documents in real time - without the need for hundreds of emails with attachments."
As a result, there will be a culture in the workplace developed with improved knowledge of sharing and communication through such things as project management software, meaning it will ultimately lead to extra creativity from employees, driving a business forward, he concluded.
Earlier this week, SunGard said that companies need to be evaluating how they can benefit from transferring applications over to a cloud computing environment as there are so many reasons to adopt it.
