SaaS data leaks will 'make the press'
All technology is susceptible to errors and as such, people in the next year must expect there to be several cases of data loss in relation to software-as-a-service (SaaS), according to one expert.
David Linthicum, in a piece for the Intelligent Enterprise Blog, said that this is not as destructive a thing as it sounds, as the human nature of technology will always lead to mistakes but will ultimately result in a greater focus on security.
Furthermore, it will help developers of business management software to go in the true direction that software will aim for, he continued.
Mr Linthicum concluded: "SaaS continues to increase as a core architectural option as we define and refine our information systems.
"Sooner or later, it will be so pervasive that we don't even notice how the software is being delivered. That's the ultimate goal."
Earlier in December, Robert Whiteside of Google Enterprise told Bytestart that SaaS can create more business resiliency as it provides a more open environment for employees to work in.
