SaaS will 'grow more in popularity'
Software-as-a-service (SaaS) will continue to grow in popularity in 2010, according to an expert in small business management software.
Speaking to PublicTechnology.net, Richard Doherty, the group vice-president of solutions at Jobpartners, explained that hosted IT solutions will reach a level of maturity which will appeal to large organisations, which will become much more comfortable using it, reaping the benefits it provides.
He explained that while traditional resource scheduling software and project management software can be expensive and time-consuming to deploy, SaaS is more economically viable and its service-based pricing allows for lowered entry costs and implementation times.
Managers will also be able to customise their own solutions to meet their technological and employer requirements, Mr Doherty concluded.
Before Christmas, Michael Vizard of IT Business Edge recommended that organisations selling business management software place a major emphasis on trust in working relationships, as it is this which is very much desired by companies in the UK.
