ThinkGrid: Productivity unharmed by snow with business management software

Businesses must prioritise their business management software investment to ensure they can react in kind to the severe weather, as cloud computing can deliver these benefits.

Such is the opinion of Rob Lovell, the chief executive officer at ThinkGrid, who said that every business has suffered in one way or another to the deep freeze that took over the UK during the last few weeks.

He asserted that being able to react in situations like this is to deal with the situation like a true business, which will also bode well for custom when other companies are failing their clients.

"People are quite short-term focused, so typically it's things like business continuity and disaster recovery that do get overlooked in a lot of businesses," Mr Lovell continued.

"Where we come in and cloud computing comes in is giving people the disaster recovery and business continuity as part of the overall solution."

According to a survey conducted by employment law firm Peninsula, 44 per cent of workers in the UK stayed at home due to heavy snow.
