Demand for IT project management jobs 'on the increase'
Company resource planning is improving to the extent that the IT job sector is beginning to see opportunities increase alongside confidence, it has been claimed.
Most resource planning by small businesses usually occurs during the fourth quarter of every 12 months, to ensure that they are fully-prepared for the new year, according to head of marketing at the recruitment website IT Job Board Jamie Bowler.
He explained that a number of factors have contributed to the upturn in IT jobs demand, such as fulfilling core business functions including maintaining project management software.
Mr Bowler added that the greatest demand for IT jobs is likely to be in the banking and telecoms sectors, particularly when it comes to project management software.
He noted: "This is going to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary.
"We will also see a proliferation of new web technologies, based on Web 2.0."
His comments follow the release of figures by the IT Job Board in January, which indicated that IT manager and support roles represented the highest proportion of jobs on the Job Board site.
