CRM 'removes hassle' from data maintenance

The use of customer relationship management (CRM) is a fantastic way to help a business save money, especially if the offering is given to the organisation through third-party hosting, it is believed.

In a piece for Fresh Business Thinking, the topic was tackled and it was underlined how many organisations will see that the "cost and scope of CRM go beyond the software alone".

The source noted that accounting and order information is definitely critical for business though even moreso in the modern world is customer history, profiles and analysis of these, looking into sales methodologies and forecasts.

Leaders that do not want to dedicate resources system maintenance including back-ups and security to CRM may want to consider a hybrid solution instead, the information provider continued.

David Taber, in a recent piece for CIO, said that marketing and sales organisations have very little idea about what figures to go by in their jobs, which is where CRM may come in handy.
