Technology for marketing is "an absolute must"
Implementing technology properly as part of a marketing campaign is absolutely essential for businesses looking to recover from the current economic climate, according to a representative of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA).
Kevin Dendy, commercial director at the organisation, made his comments at the Technology for Marketing & Advertising (TFM&A) 2010 conference, the UK's only integrated marketing and advertising event that took place at Earls Court 2 in London last week.
He said of the importance of such an adoption: "That's an absolute must. Technology is the way that every part of direct marketing is going to move forward. The business of technology - it's amazing what you can do now that you couldn't do ten years ago."
Mr Dendy added that organisations using such things as business management software and customer relationship management must fully integrate new technologies, adding that it's "absolutely key" to driving forward in future months and year.
TFM&A 2010 featured keynote sessions from ten industry experts including Google, YouTube, Facebook, AMV BBDO and Gyro:HSR.
