Top tips offered to profit from low budgetary situations with CRM

Customer relationship management (CRM) and other business management software is capable of enabling a company to make more profit, according to a new report.

AMEinfo.com addressed a recently-released white paper from Oracle, which highlighted how a tight economy can provide a good time to try new tactics and adopt metrics that can "yield insights about the effectiveness of your sales and marketing programmes".

Seven tips were offered by Oracle for leveraging the CRM process to "turbo-charge" sales operations during an economic downturn.

The first three consist of overhauling a sales methodology, embedding best practices into the selling process and optimising the company's forecasting accuracy.

Meanwhile, it added that all organisations using business management software must improve prospecting effectiveness, put customer service levels under scrutiny, link marketing directly to sales results and finally, mobilise the sales team.

Pat D'Entremont of the Chronicle Herald recently explained that CRM was absolutely vital for organisations wanting to compete.
