Cloud computing understanding is becoming 'more widespread'
The understanding of cloud computing by the average Joe has developed a lot more over the last few months, according to an expert in the industry.
Rob Lovell, the chief executive officer at ThinkGrid, said that the knowledge surrounding the platform and the likes of deliverable resource scheduling software has become more widespread and that the acceleration of this is getting more "pervasive".
He explained that there's still quite a way to go but the momentum is starting to build; all that needs to happen is that experts have to tell businesses that this is a different way of delivering IT, that it is far from scary or disruptive, while also boiling it down to the basics so people can easily understand it more.
"And if you do that and make it cheap and simple and easy to buy then people will buy it and people will flock to get it because it offers so many more benefits than having your computers and your net severs in your office," Mr Lovell added.
It follows research from IT market intelligence provider IDC announced on March 2nd that cloud computing adoption is growing at over six times the rate of traditional IT.
