Virgin to trial 200MB broadband
Virgin Media has announced that it is set to showcase its 200MB broadband service at the upcoming Ideal Home Show in London over this week, and could represent a major step forward for users of business management software.
While it will undoubtedly be a long time before the majority of customers with Virgin Media get access to the service, the company has trialled the service in Kent since last year and is about to launch it in Coventry.
Virgin Media plans to show off exactly what people can do with this connection, such as streaming 3DTV and other content to several devices at once.
Ashley Stockwell, the company's executive director of brand and marketing, said: "Ultrafast broadband like our 200MB service will enable a whole household to enjoy cutting-edge entertainment, not just via computers, but through an array of gadgets all over the home".
Earlier this week, it was revealed by Point Topic that the Tories could lose rural votes due to their lack of desire to upgrade rural England's internet connections.
